Al Warith - The Ultimate Inheritor

Al-Warith is a name based on the quality of ALLAH subhanahu wa ta’ala, that He is the original Owner, and ultimate Inheritor of everything.

This is related to the fact that He is the Everlasting and the Immortal One who inherits from all creations, after their destruction and death.

ALLAH is the One who has created the world and everything in it, also He is the One who can bring death to His creations. So, there is no doubt that we are owned by Him, and He has given temporary provisions to us in this world to use. Each thing that we own actually belongs to Him. It is easy to understand this way that He is the One who owns every inheritance.

The big whole world and everything contained in it is the kingdom that belongs to ALLAH-Al Warith. Every creature has to return to Him. Every soul has to return to His path either by will or by force. There is no other way in His world except to return towards His Majesty.

He is well aware of the minutest of the affairs going on in His created world. What we think and do silently, our thoughts are also He is well aware, and our wishes too, He knows.

This setup of the skies and the earth exclusively belongs to Him without anyone else’s claim on anything.

This beautiful dua of Prophet Zakariya from the Quran defines the relationship of a true slave and his Rab. Our Rab is our Warith. He is a caring refuge for us. He is most kindly responsible for all our needs. He owns us. He feeds, nurtures, raises and supports us throughout this difficult path of life. He soothes us when we are in difficult times. He is responsible for preserving us and our loved ones. We ask Him, trust Him, and He does everything for us. SubhanALLAH.

The Human share of this name is trusting our Rab with our whole hearts.

It means to trust Him for ourselves, our beloved relationships and our belongings. Trusting the fact that we belong to Him and everything that is ours also belongs to Him.

So we trust Him for everything when we are alive, and also on the day when we return to Him, our beloved ones, and what we leave behind will be in His kind hands.

The servants of ALLAH who remained mindful towards Him throughout their lives will achieve success on the Day of Judgment. They will receive the rewards of their trust, patience, and virtuous actions that they continued to do only for Allah's pleasure during their time on Earth.
