Al Baqi - The Everlasting
"Al-Baqi" is one of the beautiful names of ALLAH, meaning the Eternal, the Immortal, the Everlasting.
ALLAH -Al Baqi is the only One who is from always, and He will remain always - Glory be to Him - and everything else will be destroyed. Everyone else except Him has to taste death one day.
الباقي is in this word form, indicating the ownership and permanent nature of بقا, which conveys the quality of eternity.
The name الباقي is not mentioned in the Quran in this form; however, the characteristic of being permanent is mentioned repeatedly in the Quran about ALLAH the Most High.
He is the creator of everything, so He is the One who remains after the death and decay of all of His creations.
He - Glory be to Him - will call out on the Day of Qiyamah: “Whose is the kingdom today?” Then He will say: “To ALLAH, the One, the Prevailing.”
No matter how long a person lives in this life, he will inevitably die, no matter how much wealth he has, how much he is loved, no matter how much medicine or treatment he uses, He will inevitably expire and die.
So the servant should not be attached to any of the worldly affairs without keeping the limits, but rather to what is with ALLAH, and what is with ALLAH is better and more lasting. We must wisely use our time in this temporary world to gather good deeds, to improve our eternal lives.
