Al Qareeb - The ( Ever ) Near
Al Qareeb is the One who is the nearest and the closest without any comparison.
There are many aspects of this nearness, and ALLAH Al Qareeb is perfect in all of them. He is the One who is nearer to us than everyone and everything else. He cares and protects us. He knows us closely. He is completely aware of what we think, plan and do.
Throughout different phases of our lives, we find ourselves closer to certain people. However, due to the limitations of human presence in terms of time and location, we cannot always be near those we care about. For instance, parents eventually have to allow their children more independence and cannot be with them at all times. The only exception to this is Allah Al Qareeb, who remains near to us in every phase of our lives without any limitations. He is always present and ever close.
He is fully aware of His servants, knowing their secrets and private conversations. Nothing is hidden from Him. He knows the disloyalty of the eyes, wildness of thoughts and the deeper emotions, insecurities, or sorrows that hearts conceal.
Even though He is the sole Owner and Creator of the entire universe, He does not distance Himself as a superior authority. Rather, as the most supreme Authority, He remains constantly available and welcoming to His servants. If a servant turns back to Him with sincere regret for their wrongdoings, He always accepts and forgives them because of His beautiful kindness and compassion.
This name highlights the importance of making sincere efforts to get closer to our Rab, who truly deserves our best. He created and nurtured us with great affection, always attentive to our needs and remaining our closest companion. The name Al Qareeb serves as a reminder of this vital relationship with our Creator and encourages us to work seriously on strengthening it.
He knows the thoughts of the hearts and what the souls whisper. He is close to whoever calls upon Him. He answers his call and fulfils his need. He is quick to respond.
He understands the needs of His creation and does not turn away a supplicant. There is nothing like His blessings and favours; glory be to Him.
