Al Haadi - The Guide
Al Haadi is the One who provides guidance. He is our 'Ultimate Guiding Authority.' No one else can guide anyone but only as a carrier and messenger for His guidance. He is the One and the Only Origin and Owner of all the guidance.
There are two main categories of guidance. The first is generalised guidance, which includes how to eat and obtain food, find shelter, ensure protection, gather resources, and maintain safety for survival. This guidance also comes from ALLAH. Some of it is kept naturally in the creations of ALLAH subhanahu wa ta’ala, while the rest is passed down from earlier generations to later ones through training. This process involves transferring the guidance and knowledge received from ALLAH to the next generation and others.
The other guidance is specifically what we are focusing on: guidance towards the right path in life—the straight path that leads to ALLAH subhanahu wa ta’ala. This guidance is also partially what Our Rab kept in our hearts when He introduced our spirits to Himself as their Rab. This happened way before we got our bodies. Our souls identified the true Rab, and there were religious differences at that time. That was the first ever guidance we got from AlHaadi.
In addition, ALLAH sent messengers and books to guide us. The basic aim behind all that is to prevent us from getting lost in the colours of life, which may make us forget our Rab and the real purpose of life.
In this short but distracting life, we get guidance from our Rab by means of the Messengers and His Message. We got His beautiful guidance in the form of the Quran. At this level, the sources of guidance are provided; more guidance from these will be given to the humans who seek it. So, the active seeking of guidance is mandatory.
Guidance is the most precious gift of life. It is the way to secure success in our everlasting lives. It is the guidance towards a peaceful place and an honourable position in our real lives. We need to ask ALLAH for it most humbly. We need to keep on asking for guidance so that we will not lose the correct path at any point.
Al Haadi is Rab who possesses the light of guidance and can give it to whomever He likes. As the Just and Honourable Rab, He bestows guidance with complete fairness. He gives it to those who deserve it, appreciate it, and share it with others. May ALLAH make us among the guided ones until we meet our Rab and reach our eternal home in Jannah. Aameen, Ya Rab.
