Story of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) Part 4

This is our honour to learn from the precious personality traits of our father, Prophet Ibrahim AS. He built our centre of worship, Al Kaaba al Musharafa, around which we do tawaf, and towards that, we direct our prayers as per ALLAH’s command. There is a Kaaba above it in the skies called “Bait al Ma’amoor”, near that in sha ALLAH one day we will meet our father-Prophet alaihis salat o wassalam in Jannah. If we want to see him with our eyes, we have to love and follow his ways to please ALLAH.

The salient characteristics of Prophet Ibrahim AS are defined in the Quran in clear words. Why did ALLAH define them to us? Because He (subhanahu wa ta’ala) likes to see these characteristics in us.

Softness is the decoration of personality. Practising it takes time, repeated efforts, and much patience. We fail, and then we try again. This cycle repeats till we get some success. The key is to forgive ourselves during the process and continue our efforts. Also, pray to ALLAH to get this quality of our Prophets in our personality.

This is not always easy in life to see what is right and what is not right. This needs a deeper understanding, and most time our brain just registers superficial facts. Deciding matters based on superficial facts is unfortunate, and this makes us lose in complicated matters of life. How to get a vision of a believer who sees things from a better dimension? It will come with a stronger and more practical relationship with the Quran. In that, when we think about anything, we remember the related aayat of the Quran to help us decide. Once we can rightly align our matters with our book, then decisions will get a better direction. May ALLAH grant us the Rushd as He granted to our father-Prophet Ibrahim AS.

We need to learn to do things for ALLAH without any need for people’s approval and praise. This one thing will bring immense peace in life. Peace is the basic ingredient of a balanced and strong personality. This beautiful combination of strength and humility that we see in the personality of Prophet Ibrahim AS should be our target to achieve.

Let us now focus on learning the ultimate secret of a happy and contented life, from the life of our father-Prophet Ibrahim Alaihis salat o wassalam.

This is our original nature to obey our Master, our Rab. Looking towards Him for every matter in happy days or hardship. We need to just adhere to the nature that ALLAH made for us. This connection is the secret of strength, peace and ultimate success.
